Eurogroup Autrement: civic-minded consulting

Eurogroup Autrement was born in 2001 on the initiative of our firm’s consultants, who were convinced that it is important for each of us to participate in civic actions.

Eurogroup Autrement provides charities with pro bono organisation and management consulting missions, for durations varying between four and six months. They help associations develop, reach their goals, and make major changes.

Eurogroup Autrement is dedicated to non-profit registered charities which meet the following criteria:

Work in an area of social utility such as solidarity, integration, culture, the environment, etc.

Beneficiaries are located in metropolitan France

Are apolitical, have no religious ties

Are having difficulty completing their projects

Do not have the means to finance a consulting mission

These interventions give EUROGROUP CONSULTING consultants an opportunity to work in different fields, and see their job in a new way.

Based on volunteers

Associations wishing to benefit from a Eurogroup Autrement mission may apply twice each year to a jury composed of representatives of civil society and of the organising team. The jury pays special attention to the following when making its selection:

The need expressed and its maturity within the association

The concrete contribution and usefulness of a Eurogroup Autrement mission to it

Respect for a variety of associations assisted

To apply, charities simply need to submit an application file two months prior to the jury’s selection date.

A few sample missions

2008: Feasibility study and support for the launch of a social garage for Promob 74, whose goal is to facilitate the mobility of economically disadvantaged populations by helping them maintain their vehicles at reduced cost and by proposing an activity to persons being reintegrated into society.

The charity world is growing and structuring in such a way that this comparison of goals and cultures is useful for consultants wanting to look at different approaches, as for the associations we assist.

2009: Adapting the organisation of Envie 2E, a vocational integration association treating domestic appliance waste to meet doubled production stakes while guaranteeing its mission to integrate unemployed persons into working life and adapting to an increasingly restrictive legal context.

Eurogroup Autrement helped our association move from an artisanal activity to a true SME organisation with boosted management, increased productivity and true economic stability, an essential step if our action is to last. But, the Eurogroup Autrement mission was also a powerful meeting between the consultants in their suits and ties and our employees in their coveralls, as they worked together toward a common goal: through listening and respect, this variety of life choices and viewpoint, allowed everyone to grow on both a professional and a personal level! All I can say is THANK YOU!

2010: Identifying areas to grow sales and optimise the internal functioning of Ecodair, computer hardware reconditioner employing mentally ill persons or persons under vocational integration.
